INSOLES for children
Children’s feet develop naturally. Learn when an assessment is actually needed.
Insoles for children
Read here before booking an analysis for your child.
We find that many parents book a foot analysis for their child because they are concerned about whether their child is pronating or has “something wrong” with their feet. This is completely understandable — but in many cases, it is not necessary to intervene at an early age
Children’s feet develop continuously. A flat arch, slight pronation or knees that turn inwards are a completely normal part of development for most children and will correct themselves. As a general rule, we therefore recommend that you follow the development rather than correcting unnecessarily. However, there are some situations where we recommend that you book an analysis:

How it works
When should you book?
Crooked big toe or Beginning Bunion
This is important to keep an eye on. If the big toe starts to point inward towards the other toes, or if you see a beginning bunion at the base of the big toe, we recommend an analysis — even if the child is not in pain. Individually adjusted inserts that support the arch can help slow down the development before it becomes fixed.
Painful or tired feet and legs
If your child has persistent pain in their feet, heels, knees or legs, limps, gets tired quickly or has difficulty keeping up physically, then an analysis is relevant.
Very pronounced pronation
In cases of severe, persistent pronation, arch support may be relevant. In cases of mild pronation without discomfort, it is rarely necessary to do anything.
Has your child already had inserts?
If your child has previously received inserts — whether from us or another manufacturer — you are always welcome to book an analysis for follow-up or new inserts.
Are you in doubt?
If your child has no pain and no signs of a crooked big toe or pronounced pronation, we recommend that you monitor the development and possibly discuss it with your own doctor before booking.
This way, we ensure that an analysis leads to real value for you and your child — and that you don’t waste a visit on information that you could just as easily get from your own doctor.
You are always welcome to call us. we will help you assess whether an analysis makes sense for you.
